How do I stop this?Ī1: Calibration isn't actually necessary with the Cyborg evo. Q1: I'm running Windows XP and I find that my evo 'drifts' in-game, despite my having calibrated the stick correctly in Control Panel. Your wrong Clanktank, you can calibrate in XP and most of the time it is necessary.

It's all so complicated these days, it wasn't like this back in 1914. so, can anybody give me some advice on the correct settings so I can start flying? Unfortunately it isn't like that is it? I installed the Saitek Smart Technology programming software and have managed to get the guns firing (mostly), but I can't for the life of me figure out what to do to get the actual 'movement' bit of the joystick to be recognised (pitch/roll), or the hatswitch views.

However, silly me thought that the game would automatically recognise the joystick, and so it would a simple case of install drivers, plug in and wa-hey, Bob's yer uncle. Having tried (unsuccessfully!) to play it with keyboard and mouse only, I bought my first joystick, the above mentioned Saitek. I recently purchased a lovely shiny new copy of IL2:FB, due to the fact it was going (fairly) cheap and I'd heard loads of good reviews about it.
